Colombia-specific requirements to plan for

Projects for businesses in Medellín have to work for local customers and local rules. These points are planned from the first milestone:

  • Law 1581 of 2012 (Habeas Data) and Decree 1377 of 2013: Larger companies must register their databases with the SIC’s national registry (RNBD).
  • DIAN electronic invoicing (facturación electrónica) applies to most sellers.
  • Payment methods customers in Colombia expect: PSE, Nequi, Daviplata, Wompi and PayU.
